Computer Workstations

NMS has two powerful computer workstations for offline image analysis.

The first workstation ("Harpo") was funded by a seed grant from the Center for Biological Imaging at Stanford (CBIS). This machine has 24 GB RAM, dual quad core processors, a 4 GB NVidia graphics processor, and 64-bit Windows 7 operating system. Image analysis software includes Imaris for 3D visualization and analysis, Matlab, and Fiji. This machine is excellent for Array Tomography reconstruction and analysis.

The second workstation ("Chico") was funded by an NINDS P30 Center Core Grant. This machine also has high-performance processing and graphics, and 64-bit Windows  OS. This workstation has NeuroLucida tracing software, Matlab, and Fiji.
